Welcome to our website!
The Association of
Progressive Muslims of Canada is a federally incorporated non-profit
organization with its Head Office in Ottawa.
Since its inception, the
Association has actively pursued its mandate of building bridges of
understanding between Muslims and other faith groups, Federal, Provincial and Municipal governments,
security services, NGOs and various communities.
As Islam is a progressive
religion for all times and all places, the Association projects
Islam's values through various social, cultural and educational activities such as the celebration
of Eid at Parliament Hill, Queen's Park and Toronto City Hall.
Canada Day is a celebration of being Canadian by recognizing the
contributions of Canadians from all faiths and backgrounds, as well as
those of organizations.
The Association of Progressive Muslims of Canada
is open to all Muslims who are
Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents, over the age of 18, living in Canada.
I am pleased to
announce a Leadership Training Program in partnership with the
Embassy of the United States of America. It is for young
Muslims between the ages of 21 to 29. The deadline for the
Essay contest is April 15, 2012. The details are on our NEWS
page.
