UPCOMING EVENTS IN 2010

The 12th annual Canada Day will be celebrated on June 30th/July 1st.  It will held in Toronto.  For details and tickets, please contact us by email.

The 14th Annual Eid celebrations will be held at Queen's Park in the last week of November 2010.  

The 16th Annual Eid celebrations at Parliament Hill will be held in September 2010.

 NEWS

The Association held the 13th annual Eid  celebrations at Queen's Park in December 2009.  Mr. Don Drummond, Chief Economist of TD Financial Group was the Keynote Speaker and Award Recipient.  

The Association celebrated the 15th annual Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations on October 2009.  Mr. Kevin Vickers, Sergeant-at-Arms, House of Commons, was  Award Recipient.  Hon. John McCallum, M.P. for Markham-Unionville and Former Chief Economist of Royal Bank was the Keynote Speaker and spoke about the economy.

The 11th Annual Canada Day Celebrations were held in Toronto on June 30th, 2009.  The US Independence Day was also celebrated at the same time.  Mr. Michael Prue, M.P.P. for Beaches-East York  was the Keynote Speaker and Award Recipient.  Mr. Nauman Khan, Reporter and Anchor for OMNI News, South Asian Edition, was the Master of Ceremonies.

The Association had produced an educational film  titled  FRAGILE MOSAIC" as a sequel to "NO DISTANCE BETWEEN US".  This film captures the experiences and sentiments of Canadian Muslim since 9/11, the issues that have persisted, and some solutions that could work.  If you would like to order a DVD, please email us at info@progressivemuslims.ca or apmo@apmo786.org   The cost is $10.00 for shipping and handling.
